Barcode Printing

What's the easiest way to print barcodes in Microsoft Word or Microsoft Excel?

The easiest way to print from within Microsoft Office 2007 is using one of our add-ins for Word or Excel. Both add-ins are very easy to use and do not require programming to create static or dynamic barcodes.

For older versions of Office a so called barcode font can be used. A barcode font is like a normal font (e.g. Arial or Helvetica) only that it displays barcode elements rather than text or numbers.

Applications are: Documents in Word, Catalogs or pricelists in Excel, or reports in Access. Since the barcode Code 39 doesn't require calculating a checksum as most of the other barcode types do, it's particularly suited to be created with a barcode font.

A free version of a Code 39 barcode font can be found here.

The commercial version of our barcode fonts can be found here.
